It's in less than two days that the Galaxy Fold, the famous foldable phone from Samsung will be released. We were able to get hold of a copy: waiting for a complete test, we are eager to submit it to the different benchmark tools that are PCMark, 3DMark and AnTuTu. Just to get an idea of the performance of the device in games and in daily tasks.
Finally ! After months of waiting and a big miss last May, the Samsung Galaxy Fold is about to land in thirty stores in France. The folding phone, marketed € 2020, is a product that is both innovative and premium. We will especially remember that it is the first folding phone to be marketed, even if Huawei should not delay to release his, the Mate X.
Apart from this point that is a dream for many users, but also raises a lot of questions, we note that the device is also provided with a Snapdragon 855 from Qualcomm, that he is accompanied by 12 GB of RAM and of 512 GB of storage space. A true war machine, in short. If we will not fail to test the device more in the coming days, we nevertheless wanted to have a taste of its performance.

Galaxy Fold: first conclusive tests
We submitted the device to PCMark, 3DMark and AnTuTu. And the results are there: the camera gets a score of 5688 under 3DMark in Sling Shot Extreme. The result under PCMark is meanwhile 8972, while the one under AnTuTu is of 360753. Also note that Geekbench has a score of 730 in single-core and 2645 in multi-core. Values that may seem very low compared to what we got so far, but that can be explained by the fact that Geekbench has completely revised in its recent version 5 its test procedure. What totally distort a possible comparison with other models.
By way of comparison, let us recall that the Galaxy S10 equipped with an Exynos 9820 gets a result of 4426 under 3DMark, from 7752 under PCMark and of 331419 under AnTuTu. Clearly, the Galaxy Fold is superior in terms of pure power to its little brother the S10. To find more powerful, it is necessary to turn of a device like the Rog Phone 2 of Asus, which embarks a Snapdragon 855+ and which delivers a score of 396434 under AnTuTu.
As expected, the device offers excellent performance. Even if it does not equal the results obtained on a Snapdragon 855+, it approaches it. You'll understand, it's not the performance side that will look for the little beast to this device. No, it will be necessary especially to look forautonomy, point that seems really very delicate according to our first tests. But that will be the subject of a much more detailed test, which will come very soon.
