News – Blackhawks’ home transformed into warehouse

| |

The United Center, the Chicago Blackhawks’ ice rink, now serves as a warehouse for local food banks and storage of medical equipment.

This was adapted in response to a decree by the State of Illinois and the United States federal government in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

The additional space will allow food bank managers to call on more volunteers for the assembly and distribution of food baskets, while respecting the physical distancing protocol.
