US President Donald Trump fired National Security Advisor John Bolton. The head of state wrote on his microblog Twitter that he categorically did not agree with many of the proposals of his adviser.

On September 9, Trump told Bolton that the White House no longer needed his services and asked to leave. The adviser resigned on the morning of September 10th. The president thanked him for his service and promised next week to name John Bolton's successor.
John Bolton took the post of adviser to the US president on national security in April 2018. He is known primarily for his harsh attitude towards Russia, Iran, Cuba and the DPRK and believes that it is impossible to negotiate with these countries.
