Patrick Henry made a new application for release
Patrick Henry, 64 years of age with forty years in prison for the murder of a child, will formulate a new request for parole, among other things for health reasons, said his lawyer on Friday. His previous application had been dismissed on may 31, 2016.
Hospitalized for a lung pathology severe
Patrick Henry has been hospitalized since Monday, may 15 for a “lung pathology severe” in a secure unit of the hospital of the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital (Paris), has informed Me Hugo Lévy.

Sentenced to life in prison in 1977
Sentenced in 1977 to life in prison, one of the oldest prisoners in France, a symbol in its time of struggle against the death penalty, had been released for the first time in 2001.

Patrick Henry has since submitted several requests for release on parole, the last of which had been accepted in January 2016 by the court of the application of sentences of Melun, before being dismissed a few weeks later by the Paris court of appeal.
