The American Shaun White, a superstar of the discipline and the big favourite of the race, won the gold medal in snowboard halfpipe, Wednesday at the games in Pyeongchang, and won his third olympic title in the discipline after those of 2006 and 2010.
With a score of 97.75 shall apply succeeded on his third run, White, 31 years old, was awarded the centennial gold medal of the United States at the winter Games. The Japanese Ayumu Hirano took the silver medal ahead of the Australian Scotty James in bronze.
