Denmark will create a refugee Football League to try to promote their integration

The Danish Red Cross, TrygFonden organization, UEFA and the Syndicated Danish Football Association (DBU) have announced that they will launch soon ‘Asylliga’, a football league for refugees arriving in the Nordic country.

After the above initiative launched by the director and chairman of Brondby –a team outside Copenhagen competing in the Super League, the top division of sport in Dinamarca–, Per Bjerregaard, the project is no longer a proposal to begin to become a reality.

“the idea started when we saw on television how the refugees came to Denmark, walking or moto, “said Bjerregaard. “We talked about how football could help,” he added, speaking to the Danish Nyheder2 chain.

This league will be based in four refugee centers in the country –ubicados in western Zealand, Avnstrup , Dianalund, Kalundborg and Korsor– and provide assistance in integration.
